Lead singer of Grouplove, Christian Zucconi, has a cousin John Toomey who is in desperate need of a kidney transplant. Before he can even be eligible for the transplant he needs to treated for hepatitis C, contracted from earlier dialysis treatments, liver complications, and heart infection. This will be John's third kidney transplant. He is an incredible man, husband and father, not to mention a big Grouplove supporter. We want to support him as well. So 100 % of the proceeds from this show at the Troubadour will be going towards saving John.

I can't believe I'm posting this right now - we lost a beautiful friend, soul, and incredible artist today. James Nicholson was truly one of a kind. I've know him for almost ten years after meeting at the Cannes Film Festival back in 2006. We always stayed in touch. After the Greece residency in 2008, Hannah and I stayed with him in Paris for a week. He welcomed us with open arms. James flew out to Los Angeles for our first show at El Cid in 2010 - he filmed us that whole week leading up to the show, and even filmed the performance. We were always talking about when we would release it. @alexandersilas and I scored his documentary film "Nobody Knows My Name" that same week and it was a time I'll never forget - it was so fulfilling and challenging. @seangrouplove and @ladygrouplove were always bringing us food and coffee in the studio to keep us awake. It was such a creative time in all our lives. I can't wait to finally see all that footage. The last time we saw James was this past May at the big guava fest in Florida. He was living in the states again and drove hours to see us. We had such a blast. Can't believe you're not moving to LA this February as we planned. We will never forget you, and will miss you forever. Rest in Peace ❤❤❤ Everyone, life is so precious - don't ever forget how special and fleeting our time on this earth is. Grab a hold of it and live it to the fullest! - christian xo
